Croup
Isabela had a runny nose all week, but hadn't seemed to develop the cough her brother and sister have....or at least we thought. She woke up this evening with a cough that sounded like a barking seal. After a quick call to the nurse hotline, we were on our way to the ER. They gave her a breathing treatment and steroids and said she should be better in about 5 days. This is my first child to have croup, and I must say that it is not a sound you want to hear coming from your baby. :(

what cute girlies. sorry they were sick. croup is nasty stuff.
Sorry the little lady isn't feeling well. Humidifiers work wonders and nice steamy showers and long walks outside in the cool moist air.
James used to get croup all the time! It's awful. I hate the barking seal.
I love their matching shirts! Cute girlies!
Hate croupe. Dominic gets it every time he gets a cough.
Cold air or humid warm air work wonders......its basically what they nebulizer treament is (minus the steroid).
We've been able to have normal coughs at our house the go-around instead of full blown croupe by adding an expensive humidifier in their room (not the cheap-o $30 ones we found at CVS pharmacy). Amazing what a difference its made!
Your kiddos have the most amazing eyes ever........
There is plenty of cool weather in Alaska!!! Hate that they are so far away, want so much to rock and love on them!
