Chilliwack, B.C.

We are taking the mother of all road trips to Alaska....with 2 kids. We hit the freeway at 4:40pm, just in time to hit rush hour traffic. After we passed Marysville it was smooth sailing. I actually got butterflies as we approached the border crossing. It was rather anticlimactic, however, due to the border agent with an attitude. He asked John where he lived and John said, "Washington State." Then the agent said (with MUCH attitude), "Can you be MORE SPECIFIC?" Sheesh!

We are staying the night in Chilliwack at the comfy Comfort INN. We plan on hitting the road bright and early tomorrow. Wish us luck!

Farewell Uncle Trent

Trent had a layover in Seattle on his way to Utah. We picked him up and hung out for a few hours. John really wanted to take him home with us, but he had to settle with the sweet bucket of dinosaurs his uncle brought him.

Gum

We bought John some gum at the store today. He was snacking on some apple slices and somehow the gum ended up in his hair.

He was a little upset.....


So I slapped a little peanut butter in his hair......


And he was happy again......
