It was warm today (mid 70s), and thanks to the Dollar Spot at Target…the kids had a blast with bubbles.

My Baby is 2!

My sweet little St. Patrick’s Day baby girl is two today.

There was a little mishap with her cake. I left one of the layers a little too close to the edge of the counter and it ended up in about 4 pieces. Steven and I stayed up pretty late, improvising. She LOVES Mickey Mouse so we went for it. It didn’t turn out as great as something my sister-in-law Terra would have whipped up, but not too bad for a couple of amateurs.

John is 8

It was a school day and he woke up extra early so he could open some presents and have a cupcake for breakfast. I also made pancakes, but the cupcakes were a bigger hit. I made them for his class, and somehow his class has been reduced to 16 students, so we had plenty of leftover cupcakes.

John wanted an ice cream cake, so we took him to Dairy Queen. He and his sisters played for a while, and after discovering they did not have a nut-free cake in a flavor he liked, we went back to town to hunt down a cake.

Bowling

Eliana wanted to go bowling on her special day, but the bowling alley had some sort of tournament going on and the public lanes were full, so we waited until today.
